Are Scheduling Apps Rude & Annoying?

Scheduling apps are the best way to manage your Google calendar and are effective in providing you with notifications about upcoming meetings. However, no one likes getting a barrage of emails and texts from a scheduling app. Every user will usually get used to the notification system, but it might take some time for this process to happen. Some people will be annoyed by them, while others will learn to handle them and become more productive as a result.

Moreover, trying out new booking systems can be frustrating for people- they don’t want to wait. Sam Lessin’s criticism of Calendly as a “get-in-line move” is a good example of how people can be offended in the process of scheduling meetings when they feel like their time is not as important as others.

Time-management problems can often crop up when someone sends you an invitation without discussing a comfortable time with you first. Invitations are then cancelled or postponed, which leaves both parties wondering about the cause of such rudeness. To utilize scheduling apps, you have to evaluate who wants whose time.

We recommend following our set of etiquettes to make your scheduling experience not feel rude and annoying.

What is a scheduling app that will not come across as rude or annoying?

Unfortunately, no such app exists. Sending emails and messages to inform users about their schedules is an integral part of being an organizer. As for the label ‘annoying’ and ‘rude’, everyone has a different perspective.
