Lately, I’ve been in this phase I’d call “vibe coding” — building things not because I have to, but because I want to. This project is exactly that.

While checking my DESCO prepaid electricity usage, I noticed something odd — the official app doesn’t show daily BDT consumption for the last 30 days, even though it felt like the data should be there.

Curiosity kicked in. I dug around and realized that DESCO’s APIs are publicly accessible — and yes, daily BDT usage was there, just not shown in the UI.

That was it. I pulled an all-nighter and built something I wanted for myself:

A lightweight, no-login, responsive dashboard where you can enter your account number and get a clean overview of:

• Daily and monthly consumption (in kWh & BDT)

• Recharge vs usage comparison

• Visual charts for trends

• Exportable PDF summaries

• Fully mobile-friendly UI

No more waiting for official updates or app fixes — this tool lets me (and now anyone for that matter) explore the data the way I want to.

It’s open-source, and hosted on GitHub Pages — so anyone can fork, extend, or just use it.
