Take a look at a local street food vendor or a tiny vegetable stall. A decade ago, you couldn’t buy a quick snack without fishy changes or hunting for exact coins. Today, that small-scale vendor has a printed QR code taped to a wooden cart. Millions of micro-transactions, from a pocket change cup of tea to a full week of groceries, happen instantly with a quick phone scan through systems like India’s UPI or Southeast Asia’s QRIS. Fintech didn’t just change luxury shopping, it completely formalized the local street economy.

But as money becomes invisible, being financially aware becomes even more important. Digital convenience also brings challenges like online scams, privacy concerns, and the need for responsible spending.
