How’s the end of this summer treating you? Can you believe that we already have less than 5 months left in 2025?

I hope you’ve found some time to rest or even travel, and you feel ready for the new upcoming season.

In this post, I’m sharing 5 Star Trek writing prompts for this month. Of course, you’re welcome to explore and answer them anytime since they’re not limited to August.

5 Make It So Writing Prompts for August 2025

1. So, you’re on a 16-hour long-haul flight, and somehow, you’re stuck in the middle seat. Which Star Trek characters would you choose to sit with? Pick carefully! You can choose any main or secondary characters from any movie or series, but you have to explain your reasoning a little bit!

2. This month, the main Star Trek event is STLV: Trek to Vegas. Did you attend? If so, how was your experience? If not, have you been to any Las Vegas conventions in the past? What’s the tea?!

3. Who’s your favorite James T. Kirk actor? William Shatner or Chris Pine (Fine)? The question is simple, and yet complicated.

4. You’re a Star Trek captain with your own series — oh yes, you made it! What’s the soundtrack of your series?

5. If you attended Starfleet Academy, what would be your favorite course(s)? You can find a list here.
