Bengkulu — The Head of Class IIA Bengkulu Correctional Institution (Lapas), Julianto Budhi Prasetyono, provided guidance and direction to all staff members during the inaugural Discipline Week activity held on Thursday (June 4) after the morning assembly.
The program, initiated as a routine activity every Thursday, aims to strengthen discipline, professionalism, and character development among correctional officers. During the session, the Head of Prison highlighted the importance of maintaining a neat appearance and properly wearing official attributes, particularly when using the Field Service Uniform (PDL).
Several aspects were emphasized, including proper use of official footwear, correct shoelace-tying techniques, body posture, and the completeness of official uniforms and attributes. According to him, these seemingly simple details reflect the discipline, integrity, and readiness of correctional officers in carrying out their duties.
“Discipline begins with small things. Neat appearance, proper posture, and compliance with uniform regulations are reflections of professionalism that every correctional officer must uphold,” he stated.
In addition to delivering guidance, the Head of Prison directly demonstrated the latest marching positions and procedures. All staff members actively participated in the practice to ensure uniform understanding and implementation of the updated marching standards.
The Discipline Week program is designed not merely to enforce regulations but to instill values of character, obedience, and responsibility among employees. The ultimate goal is to transform rules that may initially feel obligatory into personal awareness and a positive workplace culture.
Through this initiative, Class IIA Bengkulu Correctional Institution continues to foster a disciplined, professional, and integrity-driven workforce in support of organizational excellence and public service improvement.
