How to Create Your Google Developer Profile and Prepare for Codelabs
Go to [https://developers.google.com/profile] and log in with your Google account. (Please note: This should not be a Google Workspace or company account.)
- Fill in the necessary details, proceed, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Click on “Join Today”
Follow the Steps (1 to 3)and fill the required detailed
Check the box for newsletters recommanded by me
- Complete all the steps, and your Google Developer Profile will be created.
You will earn a badge when the profile is successfully created
- To check whether you have successfully created your Google Developer Profile, go to [https://developers.google.com/profile] and log in with your Google account.
Click on “View Developer Dashboard”
Click Developer Program > My Profile
In the top right corner, you will see your Google account profile picture. Click on the three dots next to it, select “Profile,” and you will then be taken to your Google Developer Profile. It should look like the example below

- Now, make your profile page public so that anyone can see your profile. You can do this by navigating to the settings section > Account > Profile privacy settings and setting its visibility to public.

How to Access Codelabs for Free (Without Purchasing Credits or Using a Credit Card)
If you’re looking for free monthly credits, the best way is to sign up for an Google Cloud Innovators Profile [https://cloud.google.com/innovators]. Go to the above link and click on “Become a member.”

You can also do the same from Developer Program > My Community > Click on “Become a member”
Click on “Become member”
Complete the form and click on “submit”
You will earn a badge for becoming a member
Click on “Cancel”
Click on “Redeem now”
On new page click on “Sign in with Google” and follow the on screen instructions and allow almost everythind that is asked
Cick on “Join”
Congratulations you have earned 35 free credits and now click on “Start learning”
Follow the on-screen instructions, and you are a member. This profile is free and will provide you with approximately $5 or more in credits every month specifically for codelabs. This amount should allow you to complete 4 to 5 codelabs, which is quite a good number to complete without any personal cost.
You can verify that the credits have been applied to your account by checking your account history and looking for a credit entry or “Subscriptions and credits”. It should look like this

Click on “Subscriptions and credits”
How to connect/join any event near you
Go to the page https://gdg.community.dev/ to connect with local developers. Make sure you’re logged in with your Developer profile/account.
Click on any of the event cards above, then click “RSVP”, fill out the questions, and click submit/RSVP.
On some event pages, the registration button might have a name other than “RSVP,” but its function will be the same.
