It’s hard to believe that with the passing of the Summer Solstice last week (June 21st), we are right smack in the middle of summer, my favorite season for many reasons— the beach, the warmth of the sun on my skin, and, of course, as a teacher, my extended time off.

And you know what that means? It means it is time for the editor picks for May. So, come celebrate not only the onset of summer, but the amazing writers of Scrittura! Since Zay is on vacation this month, Viraji and I are so excited to presenting three picks each— and as always, it is so difficult to choose.
