There was a reprieve from the smoke coming from the BWCA and Canada on Friday. It was important to get out and enjoy the day. Today is supposed to be more smoke. No play. Well, not for some. I was in a laughter yoga class training to be a leader of laughter yoga.
That means learning and laughing and laughing and learning. Experiential is the teaching mode. One of the other students said that she took a couple classes online and it wasn’t the same at all. Even though she learned a lot there was no practice.
I’m not sure I learned all the laughter education, but I certainly learned to laugh easier, longer and more. I was totally exhausted at 10:00 p.m. I thought we might play cards into the night as I stayed with my children.
No, it wasn’t to be. Everyone was tired. I wonder if the smoke had something to do with just how tired everyone was.
Saturday was a great day for my children and grandchildren as they got on the lake, they swam, were taken on the jet ski and were pulled behind on a raft, they had a picnic lunch on the pontoon. I loved hearing about it when my training day was over.
When I got to my son’s house there was great meal, of ribs, sweet potatoes sliced and fried, and corn on the cob. All delicious. Even though I couldn’t be out on the water with them I enjoyed the recap of their day and sharing with them a bit of my day.
My sons fiancé and her mother hadn’t heard of laughter yoga before. I got to explain it to them. It was a homework assignment. Talk to a friend or family about your experience with laughter yoga. It was brief, but enough for an introductory explanation. Megan suggested her mother should give it a try.
Sunday I started laughter yoga at 9:30 and when I left the house the kids were planning indoor activities. The Mall of American maybe?
No it was an idea but the youngest wanted to stay home. I said, Really? and she said she goes to camp every day and today she wanted to stay home and enjoy the day with her cousins.
After class, I was not looking forward to my three-hour drive home. I knew I would get home before dark and that is always important to an older person. But then there is the smoke fog, and I didn’t like that idea. But it was fine. I took my time stopping for dinner along the way.
The smoke is out there again today. Someone on the news said, the smoke may be burning until there is snow on the ground as in some places the fire is two feet in the ground. Good thing I will spend most of my day on the computer today. I don’t always think this way.
Smoke is no joke It is very dangerous for some folk I am sure glad I am not working outdoors My garden is minimal and hubby soars as he waters, and I admire and thank him. It is just enough to keep him from a prank. ~ He shouldn’t be out either an it is impossible to keep him in He is the man He will take a spin on the 4-wheeler or lawn mower smoke or no smoke he doesn’t care about smoke ~ He says he will take breaks easier said than done as he rakes That is the break I ask Well, just one more task. ~ He thinks he is funny that old hunny bunny Today, I will get some work done on my book. The last interview complete The editors’ comments typed and run down on my book, where delete will be used a lot ~ It’s okay, I can handle it. The edits are bought and paid for. It was a good buy I will not lie Never ask myself why When the edits are in place I will have a happy face Maybe do a happy dance Or even a short prance
