Greetings to All!

We are currently in the third of the four personal planet retrograde cycles that began last November to complete next month in April. These started with Mercury for three weeks, then Mars joined in simultaneous lasting 2 ½ months. There was a brief week with overlapping shadow periods as Mars ended and the current Venus cycle began at the turn of February into March for six weeks with the upcoming next three week long Mercury cycle being encased within the Venus time frame. This is a lot of opportunity to go back and look to your answers and actions and emerge with better solutions.

When a planet turns retrograde, it is the “appearance” of backwards motion. This is an illusion, nothing in space stops and starts moving backwards. What is actually happening is we are measuring these cycles from the point of view of being on the Earth, which is also moving. As we pull ahead around the curve of our orbit, it makes planets further out than us, still on the other side of the Sun have this backwards appearance. For the two planets closer to the Sun than us, it is the opposite, they are pulling ahead on the same side of the Sun as us, making us appear to be going backwards, but since we experience our own planet as a still point, again it gives that illusion of going back. It more has to do with which side of the Sun a planet is compared to which side the Earth is on.

Because all three of these planets rule our personal lives, it is here that these retrogrades occur. The effects happen in many ways. They can slow events in our lives down to a crawl or a stop…or…they can speed things up in a different direction than you thought you had been going. Which of these it is will be specific to the events in each of our individual lives.

Allow for the retrogrades to be what the answer is. Do not second guess yourself or be reactive but rather trust that the guidance of the Universe is showing you the correct path.

Currently backtracking is Venus, which is receptivity, emotionality, attraction, compassion, harmony, music, art, dance, rhythm and love. Go back and encounter your memories or be literal and re-connect with some activity or person from your past. Go back to yesterday, last week, month or year. Go back to college, high school or to childhood. Again, the distance of how far back one goes will be individual in each of our life’s stories. It is as if Life is giving us a chance to re-do our performance or re-edit our assignments and turn them in again with greater clarity to ultimately pass with flying colors! Trust the still point and as Douglas Adams wrote in his Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy series, “Don’t panic”.

Finally, it was in 2012 that I had a Grand “A-Ha” moment that lead to many facets of an entire HEALTH TRANSFORMATION!
