Why People Feel So Different Depending on Where They Live
Why People Feel So Different Depending on Where They Live

Climate, culture, skin, personality…
and the fascinating diversity of human beings.
English is not my first language, and I sometimes use translation tools while writing.
But I still love connecting with people around the world through these thoughts and experiences. 🌍
I Used to Work in the Beauty Industry in Japan
Before what I do now, I used to work in the beauty industry in Japan.
I worked with skincare, cosmetics, and esthetic treatments for many years.
And something I learned very quickly was this:
Even within one small country like Japan, people’s skin, personalities, communication styles, and even emotional atmosphere can feel completely different depending on the region.
Even in Japan, the North and South Feel Completely Different
Japan has four distinct seasons, but even beyond that, the climate changes dramatically from north to south.
In northern areas, many people tend to have softer, fairer, more delicate skin.
In southern regions, people often have stronger, healthier-looking skin with different texture and resilience.
Food culture changes too.
Humidity changes.
Sun exposure changes.
Lifestyle changes.
And naturally, the body changes with it.
Skincare Isn’t Always “One Formula Fits Everyone”
That’s why in beauty and skincare fields, there have even been discussions and studies around how different ingredients may work better depending on climate and regional characteristics.
I always thought that was incredibly interesting.
The idea that people living in different environments may actually need different kinds of care just makes sense to me.
And Then I Started Thinking About the Entire World
When I think about the entire world…
It becomes even more fascinating.
Different countries.
Different climates.
Different histories.
Different foods.
Different ways of thinking.
Yet we’re all still human.
No Two Human Beings Are Truly the Same
Even so, no two people are exactly the same.
Not in the brain.
Not in personality.
Not in sensitivity.
Not in the way our bodies absorb nutrients, process stress, or experience emotions.
I think that’s one of the most beautiful things about humanity.
The more I learn about people, the more I realize how diverse human beings truly are.
I Want to Learn More About Beauty Cultures Around the World
To be honest, I still know very little about beauty cultures and skincare in other countries.
But I’d genuinely love to learn more someday.
If you’re from another country, I’d love to hear:
🌿 What is beauty culture like where you live?
🌿 Does climate affect skincare there?
🌿 Are there local ingredients or traditions people trust?
I always enjoy hearing how different people live around the world. 🌎✨
