Innocent Emir

Emir Shahmurod, also known as Shahmurad (1756–1800), was the ruler (emir) of the Emirate of Bukhara from 1785 to 1800. He is known as one of the most prominent rulers of the emirate, a reformer, and a cultural figure. Here are some key facts about him:

Accession to the throne: Shahmurod came to power after the death of his father, Daniyal-biy, in 1785. He was the first Emir of Bukhara to officially adopt the title “emir”.
