In the increasingly busy and noisy 2026, do we need to have a distinct personality for our brand and businesses?
Yes, it is important to emphasise to project ourselves filled with the values and traits needed for this year and the next. “Hustle culture” within thought leadership is crucial for engineers to lead their colleagues alike in achieving genuine common goals.
What will be benefited from these steps? Here are the steps given.

1. The “Counterintuitive” Filter
True leaders don’t seek agreement; they seek disconfirmation. While average managers look for validation, high-performers possess the counterintuitive habit of actively hunting for evidence that challenges their worldview. They understand that comfort is the enemy of accuracy
What does it mean? In TLDR for a common-sense pov. It gives off 2 important figures: a) Frequent failures to achieve success b) Trial and error creates a few hypotheses to improve the overview toward success.
Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, and now the owner of Twitter (X), famously said:
“Failure is an option here. If things are not failing, you are not innovating enough.” — Elon Musk
To achieve success in adding value to our work and leadership starts with embracing failures. Without failures, we’re unable to fix nor solved the issue at hand. Trial and error gives us the option to curate while refining our goals toward a better solution in our endeavour towards goals and succession.

2. Adaptability as an Identity
In the volatility of 2026, resilience is the baseline, not the goal. Successful leaders embody a fluid “entrepreneurial mindset,” viewing pivots not as failures but as necessary data points. They detach their ego from their past decisions to manoeuvre quickly in the present.
By fluidity means authenticity towards vision and mission needed to craft a workforce that is able to liquidate their motives and ways to be ahead of the curve. As an identity? Detach ourselves from easily giving out our ‘comfort-zone’. But why? It may create a certain effect which might or may be a ‘LINE’ that disturbs the vision that we are so desperately going to achieve.
Last year, humanity found a tool and a system that might give a proper method to be able lean on, per se; the ‘comfort zone’. The inception of the AI bubble has been both giving off 5050 on the pros and cons. Some communities use it as a way to adapt as an identity for their leadership. Others over reliance on it to feed their emotional standoff, which is? Trying to use AI for ‘companionships’ or ‘therapists’.

3. The Learning Velocity Mindset
The best leaders view their current expertise as a decaying asset. They prioritise learning velocity — how fast they can unlearn and relearn — over static knowledge. This growth mindset is the only hedge against obsolescence.
“It’s my belief that history is a wheel. ‘Inconstancy is my very essence,’ says the wheel. ‘Rise up on my spokes if you like but don’t complain when you’re cast back down into the depths.’” — Boethius
Genuine leadership comes with a culture of unlearning and reskilling. WTF does that mean? It means that through the test of time and conditions, we’ve opted to be the liquid so that we are able to fasten up. If not, time and competition alone can kick up our ‘comfort zone’ apart.
What’s next for you?
Finally u hit the end of this post, what do u feel? Are you stuck on what you’ve not done? Is the goal met? If all of these are met, do share your pov. I hope you are able to create better notes on what has been mentioned. Remember, success is won through adaptability and motivation.
