Why I Started Uguide at 19 — Solving a Real Problem for Travelers

When people visit a new city, the biggest problem they face is confusion.

Where should they go first? Which places are actually worth visiting? Which cafes are good and which ones are just overrated?

While observing tourism in Udaipur, I realized that most travelers depend on scattered sources of information — random blogs, different apps, Google reviews, and suggestions from strangers.

Instead of making travel easier, this often makes it more confusing.

That is where the idea of Uguide started.

My name is Vijay Kumar Jat, and I started building Uguide when I was 19 years old. The goal was simple — create a platform where travelers can find everything about a city in one organized place.

Uguide provides structured information about:

Instead of searching on multiple websites, travelers can find everything in one place.

Currently, the focus is on covering Udaipur, but the long-term goal is to expand Uguide to all major tourist cities of Rajasthan.
