Useless Words or Something to Consider?

With AI’s help, I created this image this morning as a thought popped into my head. “I don’t know if I have time to do a story today, but it should be soon.”

Here was my quick rundown taking up headspace this morning: How quick I am to say, “Honey, you are preaching to the choir.” But, in reality, the choir needs preaching to, too. Just because we know something is the right or wrong thing to do doesn’t mean we always follow the path we’ve been given. Maybe we need to take a map-reading course, because as Christians, we’ve already been given the map; we just need to dust it off a little and read it.

Psalm 119:105 Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path.

Maybe that thought IS my story of the day.

I know that not all of my readers are believers. This post is for everybody, though, and believe it or not, there may be someone, somewhere, who is praying just for you.

I Whispered a Prayer

I whispered a prayer for you today “God, keep them safe and out of harm’s way.” You said, “Stop! I don’t want your Kool-Aid.” I smiled because you know I still prayed

“God, surround them with those who believe Keep them from those who want to deceive Hold them in the palm of your hand Let them feel your love and understand.”

God listens to anyone who prays His works are mysterious in ways No one has a straight line to his ear Just talk with him and ask Him to hear

Don’t think less if you’re a beginner We’re all the same, we’re lifelong sinners No secret handshake- no special words Ask God to help you and read His Word
