I was told by a reliable source in Afghanistan, shortly after getting close to Matiullah, that he once acted as an assassin for Jan Mohammad.

He would sneak onto the property of rival tribe members at night and would stab tribespeople in their sleep with knives. He would then pour acid on their faces.

When he asked me to help with that human rights case, it was regarding an incident where he took a whole bunch of Barakzais…him and his boys strung them up, sliced their arteries and bled them out. Acid was once again used to mutilate the corpses.

He had a thing for knives and acid.
