Love Is The Answer

IN A WORLD SO FULL OF TURMOIL, it’s hard to remember that Love is the answer. Hard to envision that Love could even enter the equation. And if so, how.

How does one allow Love through the door, in this world of turmoil, when so many feel called to batten down the hatches, to rally round the wagons, and to pick up their swords.

How does one open the heart, soften the edges, let Love flow, both inward, outward, and beyond, if Love is the answer.

And if Love is the answer, then why are we fighting so hard to keep it at bay? Why are we shielding ourselves from the very thing that would free us from fear?

Are we so addicted to the idea of conflict, whether within the heart or the world? Are we addicted to the drama conflict creates, the angst, the agony, the highs, the lows? Do we think, whether consciously or unconsciously, that that is where power lies? In the heart of darkness.

And if the heart of darkness is a bottomless pit that knows no end. If its song is one of despair, why would we want to be there? Who told us that this is how life was meant to be? And perhaps as importantly, who gains from perpetuating this story, this belief.

TO LIVE IS TO FLOURISH, to prosper, to unfold, to become more than we thought we could be. Not from a state of power and domination, but from a state of Love. And so yes, to live is to Love.

This is a Love not dusted with manipulation or control. This is a Love flavoured with compassion, caring, even joy. It is a Love that honours the other, that welcomes goodness, that celebrates the Divine, both within and beyond.

Such Love is not governed by others. It stands on its own — pure and eternal. And yet it lives within each of us, if we have eyes to see and ears to hear. It is that Inner Voice that calls from the heart to release us from the pains of the past, to open our hearts that we might walk free. It is that Inner Voice that sings to us, often softly, that beckons us. Come home to the Love, it calls. Come home to who you truly are.

For Love, pure and everlasting, is our true nature, and our opportunity to walk anew, to live a life of harmony once more. It is our birthright, this Love in Action, if we would dare to live it.

And yes, there are a myriad of earthly reasons why we should not dare. A million distractions to tempt us to stay exactly where we are, no matter how painful where we are happens to be.

But Love IS the answer. Love IS the call. And so, Love IS ALSO the solution.

IT HAS BEEN SAID that like begets like, which of course means hatred brings more hatred, violence more violence, fear more fear.

Only Love, unconditional and pure, will change this world to one of peace, harmony and understanding. Only Love will bring us Home.

That Love lives within each one of us. And each of us has a place at the table. The table of Love, divine and everlasting … in this body, in this world, at this time.

We are being called Home. It’s time to choose.
