Behind the Scenes of EUREKA — Our First Inter-College Event

Every E-Cell dreams of hosting an event that brings young minds together — where creativity, strategy, and entrepreneurial spark collide. For us at St. Ann’s Entrepreneurship Cell, that dream took shape in the form of EUREKA, our first inter-college event.

The Idea

EUREKA wasn’t just a competition; it was our first big step as a team. We wanted to create something that encouraged students to think like entrepreneurs — to solve problems, pitch ideas, and challenge their limits.

The goal was simple: bring together students from different colleges and backgrounds to experience the thrill of ideation and innovation.

The Preparation

Let’s be honest — the process was far from smooth. From planning the structure, managing registrations, to handling social media and schedules, every member had to juggle multiple tasks.

We didn’t have sponsors or prior experience to lean on, but we had something more valuable — team spirit and belief. Each late-night brainstorming session and “we’ll figure it out” moment taught us what entrepreneurship really feels like: uncertain, intense, but deeply rewarding.

The Event Day

When EUREKA finally took off, we saw over 55 participants, including teams from other colleges. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement — pitches, questions, laughter, and a whole lot of learning.

Seeing students confidently share their business ideas and respond to judges’ feedback reminded us why we started the E-Cell in the first place — to ignite that spark of innovation in young minds.

What We Learned

EUREKA taught us that success isn’t just about how perfect things look; it’s about how much you grow in the process. We discovered the power of teamwork, clear communication, and adaptability — all pillars of real entrepreneurship.
