Cooking Time:

The cooking time for mutton boti can vary based on the recipe and cut of meat. Here are some general guidelines:

  1. Stovetop Cooking: For curries or stews, mutton boti may take about 60–90 minutes to become tender and flavorful. The cooking time depends on the size of the pieces and the heat level.
  2. Pressure Cooking: Using a pressure cooker can significantly reduce cooking time. Mutton boti can be tender in 20–30 minutes in a pressure cooker.

Tips and Tricks:

  1. Marination: Marinating mutton boti with yogurt, spices, and acidic ingredients like lemon juice can enhance flavor and tenderness. Let it marinate for at least 2–4 hours or overnight for best results.
  2. Slow Cooking: For the most tender and flavorful results, slow cooking methods like braising, stewing, or using a slow cooker work well with mutton boti.
  3. Pre-cooking Steps: If you’re using a tough cut, consider pre-cooking it with spices and aromatics before adding it to the main dish.
  4. Doneness Test: To check for doneness, use a fork or knife. If it goes through the meat easily, it’s ready.
  5. Resting: Allow the cooked mutton boti to rest for a few minutes before serving. This helps redistribute the juices for a juicier and more tender dish.
  6. Trimming Fat: Depending on your dietary preferences, you may choose to trim excess fat from the mutton boti to reduce the overall fat content of your dish.
