Starting a business is an exciting journey, you are filled with energy and enthusiasm at the beginning, but as you proceed on this journey, your energy levels start going down, and you end up crashing.
This is the main problem I have seen in young entrepreneurs, the ones who pass this barrier are the ones who succeed.
Let’s dive in and find a solution on how to overcome this barrier and succeed forever.
Lack of Market Research
The common mistake is starting a business idea without understanding the market properly, People tend to neglect, each and every aspect of a business.
In order to avoid this proper research is essential to understand your audience, products, competitors and trends, use surveys and google trends to understand the market properly.
Ignoring Financial Planning
I have made this particular mistake in my life and will suggest to plan your finances properly, having enough money in the bank is not a reason to start a business without planning.
People underestimate costs and expenses, which is a reason to derail your startup. Do not rely only on personal funds, instead fund your business from an income source.
Create a proper financial plan with your team, hire a financial advisor if needed, and plan each and every cash flow, operational expense, and startup cost.
Overcomplicating the Business Plan
Sometimes when a plan seems too easy, we might think its wrong.
Humans have the tendency to overcomplicate things, for example a route going from A to D is via B and C, but still people want to create logic that the correct way is though Z, Y, X….
Overcomplecating may cause your business to delay, demotivation and even failure.
Trying to Do Everything Alone
Being a lone wolf may work in life but not in business, You need your pack to overcome any danger.
A person alone will die out of burnout and inefficiency.
Scaling is the first step in a business. Yet most people start enjoying the profits as soon as possible.
Build a strong team full of trust and confidence, assign a task to each and everyone depending on their expertise.
Ignoring Feedback
Many entrepreneurs fall in love with their ideas and ignore customer feedback.
This can lead to products or services that don’t meet market needs.
Gain sufficient feedback from people from different locations and adapt your business according to their needs.
Stay open to feedback and treat it as an opportunity for improvement. You can conduct several surveys to know the choice of the customer.
Poor Time Management
This Is one main disability found in most people, even out of the entrepreneurship world.
The inability of managing time leads to inefficiency and missed opportunities.
Neglecting Customer Relationships
Your relationship with a customer isn’t until they buy your product on the contrary at that point it just starts.
Focus on the long term and increases your bond wth your customers, exactly how you treat your customers.
Engage constantly by sending weekly emails or promotions, this will create a constant reminder of your company.
Giving Up Too Soon
Entrepreneurship is tough, but not hard as well, every phase has it’s setbacks are inevitable.
Many entrepreneurs quit after facing initial challenges and start with another business model.
Soon they will quit the second business model and the cycle continues the same way.
Cultivate resilience and adopt a growth mindset.
Surround yourself with mentors or join entrepreneurial communities for support.
Entrepreneurship is a journey, once you embark there is no end, you have to keep moving, progressing and enjoying.
Thanks, I hope that was helpful, let me know in the comments for any further assistance!
Peace!
