We’re Getting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizza Restaurants — The Uncanny Fox

We all know that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles love their pizza, and now Paramount is getting ready to open three real-life pizza restaurants. This is part of a new effort to expand on the TMNT brand across all kinds of media, including new shows, books, and toys.

This push includes a new licensing deal with Mattel to produce new toys based on the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem sequel and the recently announced live-action hybrid movie over the next two years. We’re also getting a new animated series called Teeny Mutant Ninja Turtles, which will consist of 4-minute-long episodes of the Turtles as kids, and a novel based on *The Last Ronin*.

One of the strangest announcements made in the new *Hollywood Reporter article detailing all this TMNT news is that Paramount is planning to open a chain of Ninja Turtles*-themed pizza restaurants in Santa Monica, CA, Monterrey, Mexico, and Sao Paulo, Brazil. They are set to open later this year, and could lead to even more locations if they are successful.

Let’s just hope that the menu doesn’t take inspiration from Michelangelo’s pizza ideas in the ’87 cartoon. The Angry Video Game Nerd already demonstrated how that’s a bad idea…
