There is a reason why I felt compelled to select this particular image in the context of this article! Notice the word Ordinary getting projected on to the human whereas the fuller version of the sentence is Escape the ordinary! Going by this immensely meaningful juxtaposition or intentional layering of the text in this amazingly beautiful image, we have somehow created a situation where we are entangled lifelong in the mundane whereas our internal true and eternal urge and desperate need has remained to Escape the ordinary and discover and unleash the creative superpowers that reside deep within!
In our lives while we are tackling our creative instincts by feeding it on the fringe time while keeping our stomachs fed doing the most uninspiring day jobs which erodes the most important part of our lives, The Creative time, the non fringe main stream time that we should have arranged to dedicate to it is now being wasted in the thankless 9 to 5 jobs! Such is life!
Now coming to the main point of this article, the discovery of magic, wonder the aahs and wows shall never stop is the simple premise on which this written effort of mine is based! I see these curious people on the youTube dedicating their time on a mission to find creative magic in the things and events around us! One such pair of individuals is vocalist Richard Fink IV and songwriter Johnny Cummings, in their own words on the intro page on youTube….

These distinguished individuals are on a learning and exploring mission to the Indian Raaga system of music and by now have curated and created beautiful exploration videos watching these pleasant, peaceful and resolved Indian Music Teachers/personalities on youTube who already were running these discovery videos… Indirectly, many of us, including the undersigned got to witness and learn some eye opening and startlingly simple yet magical aspects of our own cultural heritage, our music! So, here comes the first item on the list, with the youTube videos by these two gentlemen as reference to the endless possibilities of exploring creatively magical worlds out of the already existing aspects and elements around us!
- (Let us) Re Discover the magic inherent in our own tradition: Rituals, culture which we may have missed exploring while we were wearing the blinkers provided by the education system and then by the job and the market!
I strongly recommend as described above, watching these youTube videos and discover how these unique gentlemen discovered creative magic from their own chosen pursuit of creative excellence!
