The Most Dramatic Transit of the Year Is Almost Here

Jupiter moves relatively fast: it takes it about one year to travel through a zodiac sign. This means that each year we see opportunities arise in different parts of our lives.

For each year we have an area we’re quite focused on. An area that gets our attention. An area in which we shine.

At the end of June 2026, Jupiter will make the next shift: moving from the sign of Cancer to the sign of Leo.

With it you’ll see many astrologers on social media telling you how Leo is about to have the best year of their life. And while almost all Leos will certainly have a pivotal year ahead, I bet you not all of them will call it ‘the best year of their life’.

Sometimes opportunities are concealed as breakups or job losses.

Sometimes an opportunity ends up leaving us worse off.

The cliche is true after all: not all the glitters is gold.

So as we get ready for Jupiter to enter Leo, I hope this article gives you a hint as to what you can expect. Because as we all know, it can sometimes be difficult to see the gift, even if it is placed right in front of our eyes.

Aries Rising/Ascendant You’re about to feel much lighter. The inward focus you had last year will shift. You’ll get more opportunites to enjoy life, try new hobbies and if you’re open to it: go on many dates.

Don’t become too mesmerized with the glitz and glam to the point were you forget to work towards your long-term goals. And remember that sometimes responsibilities can bring us the most fun and joy we’ve ever had (for example: becoming a parent).

Taurus Rising/Ascendant The year ahead will give you plenty of chances to dive into your upbringing/the beliefs that you were raised with and to develop your relationship with your family. You might also get plenty of opportunites to enjoy your comfy couch!

Remember that just because something is comfortable, doesn’t mean it is good for you. And sometimes what looks to be boring and heavy, when addressed head on, can bring you the most comfort. Because it’s kind of hard to be comfortable when you’re leaning against a cactus.

Gemini Rising/Ascendant The year ahead will give you plenty of opportunities to express your unique view on the world. So if someone gives you a mic, whether literally or figuratively, take it!

Remember that sometimes listening is needed in order for us to form our own vision. And don’t judge too much who will get to hear your wisdom: sometimes the people that need it the most are the ones you least expected.

Cancer Rising/Ascendant This upcoming year it’s important that you keep true to your word. Whether you promised yourself you’d start that business, or start working out or finally quit that bad habit. You will get plenty of opportunities to expand your finances, as well as learn and grow in the tools and skills you have. This is a great year to build upon your self love and confidence, so definitely carve out time to put yourself first!

Remember that more money often means more responsibility. And what might at first seem a blow to your self esteem could end up being the best thing that happened to it.

Leo Rising/Ascendant It’s time to shine, Leo! Take more chances and make bets on yourself. You might find things being handed to you on a platter, but just remember to ask yourself if you actually want to have those things…

For example, a really big promotion gets offered to you, but if you think about it, you don’t really want to take it.

If you didn’t work well with Jupiter last year and missed the spiritual opportunities it presented, you will find it hard to determine which opportunities you should take and which you should let go. In those cases, spend more time on your own and in silence.

Virgo Rising/Ascendant This is a great year to develop spiritually and you’ll probably get plenty of opportunities to do so. You’ll get the chance to find out who you really are underneath the job, the relationship and the fancy paycheck.

Remember that just because a spiritual practice has many followers, it doesn’t mean that it’s better than others. And a job loss or a move may bum you out at first, but overtime could turn out to be exactly what you needed to get you on the right spiritual path.

Libra Rising/Ascendant You’ll find yourself focused on making big plans for your future: things that will take a while to come to fruition. You might be asked to prioritize during this time and make decisions on what is worth your time. You’ll also get many opportunities to meet interesting people that will help you achieve your goals.

The missing piece for the next year is to prioritize, prioritize and prioritize. And remember, that while meeting the President might seem cool, meeting your next door neighbour could bring more value into your life.

Scorpio Rising/Ascendant Scoprio, it’s time to cease those career opportunities, or at least opportunities that make you feel like you make a meaningful contribution to the world.

Ask yourself, did you take the learning opportunities Jupiter offered to you the last year, or did you sleep through them? It will be difficult to find your place in the world, if you didn’t explore first what the world has to offer and form your opinion on what matters to you.

Don’t get too cocky, and deny a job that appears too humble. It might be exactly what you were asking for.

Sagittarius Rising/Ascendant You’ll feel lighter this year Sagittarius, and you’ll get plenty of opportunities to explore the world: both internally and externally. Be open to learning/studying and to travelling.

Remember that sometimes the most wonderful experience can come from the small town next door. And that difficult person who loves to preach to everyone around them, could be the best opportunity to practice open mindedness.

Capricorn Rising/Ascendant It’s time for an introspective year. Jupiter will present many opportunities for you to address the shadow parts of you (hint: if someone’s actions are triggering you: that’s your shadow!)

The dark can be quite seductive sometimes, so remember that ultimately you have the power to change yourself. And even if a certain opportunity hurts at first, trust that it’s the perfect catalyst to help you address what’s going on inside.

Aquarius Rising/Ascendant It’s time to develop some meaningful relationships. You’ll get opportunities to do so, whether romantic, deep friendships or business partnerships.

Support others while reminding yourself that humans are inherently flawed. And if a relationship falls apart, it could just be opening up a space for something even better.

Pisces Rising/Ascendant Jupiter will amplify your responsibilities and give you plenty of things to take on your plate. You just need to ask yourself if these are the types of responsibilities that you want to look after. It will also bring great mentors in your vicinity, so be open to learning from others around you that have lived more life than you!
