The Wealth Experiment: Day 1 of 500
— I Finally Started
The first day of this journey didn’t begin with discipline.
It began with my old habits.
Day 0 ended exactly the way many of my days have ended over the last fifteen years.
Around 2 a.m.
On one side were years of habits pulling me backward.
On the other side was the pressure of building an entirely new life.
Somewhere between those two, Day 1 quietly began.
A Small Beginning
Getting out of bed took me almost thirty minutes.
There was no perfect morning routine.
No detailed schedule.
No surge of motivation.
There was only one small feeling that made me smile.
I had finally started.
Almost every bad habit I have developed over the years is already working against me.
The habits that successful people have?
I don’t have them yet.
But I am not starting from nothing.
Over the past few years, I have collected something valuable.
Lessons from YouTube.
Pages from books.
A mobile phone.
The internet.
A laptop.
Artificial Intelligence.
A few good experiences.
A few painful ones.
And today, I decided to use all of them instead of waiting for the “perfect time.”
The first thing I did was open my notebook and write down the tasks for the day.
It wasn’t a big achievement.
But every journey has to begin somewhere.
My Current Reality
If I am completely honest, my body is not where I want it to be.
My muscles feel stiff.
My eyes burn after long hours of screen time.
My stamina is low.
My back often hurts.
And my mind…
My mind loses focus far too easily.
Sometimes I don’t even know where my attention disappears.
But none of these are my biggest challenge.
The hardest part is trusting myself.
I have broken so many promises to myself that believing in my own words has become difficult.
I won’t pretend that I know nothing.
If I knew nothing, I wouldn’t even be able to write this article.
But I also won’t pretend that I know everything.
If I did, I probably wouldn’t still be working an ordinary office job while dreaming about financial freedom.
The truth lies somewhere in between.
Life has taught me many lessons.
There are still many more waiting for me.
Sometimes I feel like I spent years collecting the ingredients for success…
but stopped cooking halfway through.
Some ingredients are still with me.
Others I’ll have to find during this journey.
What Actually Happened Today
Today wasn’t productive.
Because I ate dinner very late last night, I skipped breakfast this morning.
By the afternoon, I had eaten only two apples.
By the time I reached home from work, I felt completely exhausted.
I missed my workout.
After eating a little, I planned to spend forty-five minutes studying for my YouTube channel.
Thirty-five minutes later…
sleep won.
So I stopped.
Instead, I opened my laptop and wrote this blog.
It isn’t perfect.
But today, finishing something mattered more than making it perfect.
Everything Feels Scattered
Right now, almost every part of my life feels scattered.
My body.
My mind.
My finances.
Whenever I try to improve one area, another seems to fall apart.
Today wasn’t inspiring.
There were no huge wins.
No life-changing breakthrough.
Just an ordinary day filled with mistakes, unfinished plans, and small efforts.
But it was still…
Day One.
And maybe that is exactly how real change begins.
The Plan Going Forward
Today I bought a notebook that will become my daily companion throughout this journey.
For the first twenty-one days, my goal is intentionally simple.
No complicated systems.
No unrealistic expectations.
I will simply place a ✔ beside every habit I complete each day.
Right now, consistency matters far more than perfection.
When I think about the next 500 days, I won’t lie…
It scares me.
The journey feels like a huge knot that has to be untangled one thread at a time.
Sometimes the thought alone feels overwhelming.
But I also realize something important.
I no longer have another option.
This Is Not a Challenge
I want to make one thing clear.
This is not a challenge.
I’m not trying to impress anyone.
I’m not trying to prove that I can do something extraordinary.
This is simply a journey of self-discovery.
By 31 December 2027, I want to find out whether my body and mind were truly my biggest obstacles…
or whether they were simply habits that I allowed to control me for the last fifteen years.
Whatever happens, I will document it honestly.
The good days.
The bad days.
The victories.
The failures.
Everything.
Because this journey is about much more than building wealth.
It is about rebuilding myself.
And today…
that rebuilding has finally begun.
