one and two and

three

beats later,

i’m down in the laundry room,

breathing

in and out

beating

with the clicks of the dryers’ drum

as i walk along the hallways

away

i wonder about my friends

who live with rubble

and love with hope

and dreams

that i already have…

home is where the heart is

right?

and here hopes my heart

beats…
