What does the data really mean?

LIGO is a laser interferometer which detects any difference in propagation time between two arms of a split photon beam. Although LIGO uses the Michelson configuration, a Sagnac interferometer functions on the same effect but uses a redundant loop as opposed to a split arm. When change in propagation time is detected by a Sagnac configuration, the pathway could not have “lengthened” physically in one arm because the opposite arm uses the same physical space. It functions on a cumulative linear limit to ‘c’, but implies that the interferometer effect is unrelated to warping of space at all.

The most accurate description of the data from any laser interferometer is that the propagation time experienced a variation. As we are dependent on light speed as a measurement tool over distances, this is often interpreted as a change in the length of space itself, but that can also be shown as contradictory in different configurations as described and other observations.

Personally, I prefer a simplified and quantum compatible model where time dilation is treated like a radiative particle field where there is increasing ‘c’ rate of resistance due to proximity to matter density as opposed to a negative slope of spacetime. It is my opinion that this is an equivalent approach with better compatibility with modern observations, including LIGO results. A list of these reasons can be found here: https://whetscience.medium.com/the-celerity-boson-a-hypothesis-for-a-speed-limiting-gauge-boson-a4b8801f083

Thank you for the response! I look forward to your comments!
