The Fox and the Raven
Last of us

A world long past of a merry cast. Photo taken from public domain; https://picryl.com/media/red-fox-49451304118-a645af.
A fox sat still and pondered more
The thought of end and nothing more
All other gods have gone for hate
The pain resides here of fate
A yearning deep beyond those gone
Stood today: for morrow, dawn
The yester gone, the tale remains
A smile forms resisting chains
From under moon, from under dark
From smile comes the lie and mark
“There love has left yet I build more”
“I should, and wait- the nevermore”
“I hear the word through snowing ends”
“It comes, it goes, it brings the friends”
“The smile, pleased always grows then”
“Soon, the spoken will prompt when”
As words spoke, scent ascends to clouds
It soars with snowfall and to crowds
All flee at any moments haste
Inside oneself it choked the taste
All above, the ravens debate
Nevermore, that word above god's fate
From clouds, the world down seen by all
Those gods that fly and will then fall
The floor, all silence ‘cept life past
The war, the death, why should, they asked
Our corpses gone but rotting then
Our minds now greater beyond ken
Across the world, decay is seen
Nevermore, deny the scene
Forevermore the castle stands
Abandoned gods will not see lands
A raven, one God, alone descends
The smile grew as snow fall ends
The landing does not disturb it
The smile looks out without the bit
The raven, eyes wide, spots the pain
With hope, the raven spoke to reign
The fox with smile looks in grey
The marked place begins to fray
