Yibi’s Taipei Poker Adventure: A Full Experience from the Poker Table to the Night Market!

In May 2025, the Yibi team embarked on a journey to Taipei to participate in the AJPC SAMURAI CIRCUIT. This is not only a poker event, but also a feast of culture and food.

First of all, what is AJPC?

🎭 Mysterious Bounty Tournament: A surprising opening show

At the beginning of the event, we participated in the much-anticipated Kick-off Mystery Bounty. This game attracted 210 players, and was eventually won by Taiwanese player Zheng Yuxuan, who won a prize of NT$149,000. The mysterious bounty mechanism in the game made every elimination full of expectations and surprises.

🤝 Team competition: collaboration and tacit understanding

In Team Event, according to Sunny’s own account: This time, AJPC Team Event and William successfully entered the FT and took the second place. I had AKo in the FT CO position open, HJ called with Pocket J, and then BTN Pocket 10 all in, HJ and I also took it, and finally River came with an A to kill them triple up, which made us excited. In the headup, both of us had even numbers, and we got A7o and went all in immediately. The other Japanese player got AQs and took it… and then nothing happened.This is the closest time to getting the first place, and I also started to do a lot of things from William🍻

Collaboration and tacit understanding are the ultimate tests in team competitions.

🏆 Main Event: South Korean player Lee Kyung-byung’s outstanding performance

The main event attracted 244 players, and in the end, Korean player Lee Kyung-bing won the championship and won a prize of NT$1,000,000. His steady play and accurate judgment won warm applause from the audience.

🥢 Taipei Food: A Night Market Explorer’s Paradise

After the competition, we went to Taipei’s night markets and tasted a variety of authentic food. From the Hot-Star Chicken Steak at Shilin Night Market to the Oyster Omelet at Ningxia Night Market, every bite was an ultimate temptation to the taste buds. In addition, we also experienced Taiwan’s special pepper cakes and pearl milk tea at Raohe Street Night Market, and felt the unique charm of Taipei’s nightlife.

This trip to Taipei not only allowed us to gain experience and grow in poker competitions, but also gave us a deeper understanding of Taipei’s culture, food, and human touch. We look forward to the next trip, continuing on the road of poker and exploring more of the city’s unique charm.
