A Moral Vacuum in Power: Why Trump’s Circle Represents the Most Allegedly Corrupt Administration in American History

Donald Trump, including the administration he led and the one he continues to influence, represents what I believe to be the most allegedly corrupt concentration of power in modern American history, not because of one scandal or one personality flaw, but because of a sustained pattern of behavior that treated public office as private property. In my view, this is not a partisan gripe or a matter of taste; it is a moral reckoning. When an administration repeatedly blurs the line between governance and self-enrichment, between loyalty to the Constitution and loyalty to one man, resignation is not a radical idea — it is the responsible one.

From the beginning, Trump’s political operation functioned less like a public trust and more like a closed circle where proximity mattered more than principle. Cabinet members cycled through with astonishing speed, ethics waivers were handed out like party favors, and watchdogs were sidelined or fired for doing their jobs. Allegations of profiteering, conflicts of interest, and misuse of power stacked up so routinely that outrage fatigue set in, which may be the most damaging consequence of all. When scandal becomes background noise, accountability quietly exits the room.

What troubles me most is not any single allegation but the apparent absence of moral restraint across the ecosystem surrounding Trump.
