The Beauty of Treading Thin Water

Failure is Just an Illusion You Show Yourself

I’ve been treading shallow water for a while, but the waves are suddenly getting deep.

Feels like I’m drowning in the weight of the things I tell myself I need.

Seems like I’m the ghost in this crowded room — been wishing I could be anywhere but here.

I feel incomplete, always craving something with more soul or with real heart.

Told myself a year ago I’d be in a different place but I never left this concrete prison.

My friends are moving on but I’m stuck at the wayside, kicked myself way down the drain.

But maybe, there’s a flicker of hope deep within me still.

Maybe, it’s just waiting for the match I’m holding in my hand to light it’s path.

Or for someone to guide it home to the place where it truly belongs.

Maybe, all it takes is one big leap of faith or one cliff fall I’d gladly take.

So, I’ll risk my life just so I can finally live.
