Will we see each other Again?

My father would never have wanted us to suffer. Sometimes, when he had a little too much to drink, he said he would die soon. But I didn’t realize it was serious. It was so sad back then. Everything happened so quickly — within two days, he was no longer part of our lives.

People often wonder if they will ever feel happiness again. Yes, you can — even though grief and loss will always stay in your heart. I knew what my father wanted, and I’ve been working on that ever since. I hope that what I do is right. Since then, my purpose in life has been to help my family. Every day, I fight to get through the day.

I was asked if I believe we’ll see each other again. I can only say this: I don’t follow any religion, and I don’t know if we will. But since he’s gone, I talk to him and hope he can hear me. I believe and hope that he is up there watching over me.
