Today’s random word is waver and the first sentence was provided: Why make like harder for yourself?

“Why make life harder for yourself?” My husband was tired of listening to me waver. “Quit! You’ve been vacillating for weeks and you’re no closer to a decision.”

“But, look at all the features! It’s only $379 more than the one advertised last week, and it’s a 286. Last week the 186 was the hottest buy for $1200! Why not spend $1600 and get more computing power? And, it’s a Packard Bell! The Cadillac!”

Two weeks later…

Slapping an ad down, Packard Bell 286 circled, he said, “Go buy this one.”

That, folks, is how I got my first computer.
