Small and medium-sized businesses across Africa are becoming increasingly digital.
They process customer information, depend on payment systems, manage online platforms, and operate connected infrastructure every day.
But behind this digital growth is a security reality that many organizations are not prepared for:
Attackers do not care whether a company has 10 employees or 10,000.
They look for exposed systems, weak credentials, outdated software, and poor visibility.
The challenge is that most African SMEs cannot afford a dedicated security team.

AFRICAN SMES
A full internal Security Operations Center (SOC) requires analysts, infrastructure, tooling, and continuous monitoring. For many businesses, especially those operating with limited resources, traditional cybersecurity models are simply too expensive.
This is the gap I am building NcryptoEdge to address.

NcryptoEdge is a cybersecurity company focused on helping African SMEs improve their cyber resilience through affordable security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response capabilities.
The idea is simple:
Enterprise-level security operations should not only be available to large organizations.
Smaller businesses also deserve access to detection engineering, security visibility, and practical incident response.
The goal is to build a Security Operations capability designed around the realities of African businesses.
Why Open-Source Security Infrastructure Matters
One of the biggest barriers for smaller organizations is cost.
Many enterprise security platforms are powerful, but licensing costs can quickly become unrealistic for smaller companies.
This is why NcryptoEdge is built around open-source security technology.
The foundation is built using:
- Wazuh for SIEM and endpoint security monitoring
- Suricata for network intrusion detection
- TheHive for incident response and case management
- MITRE ATT&CK for adversary behavior mapping
These tools provide the building blocks needed to create a practical detection and response pipeline.
The objective is not simply deploying tools.
