Under this provision, you can also attend and complete an Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) during provisional registration. Important Point: You have to submit your final graduation marksheet in 6 months since provisional registration. If you fail to do that, your provisional registration will be cancelled and fees paid will be forfeited without any adjustment or credit.
If you are still in your final year of college, you don’t have to wait to graduate to start! You can register provisionally. Under this provision, you can even undergo and complete your Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) during the provisional period.

ICAI has made it possible for students to sit for CA Inter exams three times a year in January, May, and September. As soon as you register for the exam, you will have to undergo a mandatory 8-month study period in order to be eligible for appearing in the exam. This is to ensure that you will be able to prepare well for your exam in the 8 months.
Moving to Articleship Training
As compared to traditional pathway students, Direct Entry students have a different progression path to follow.
- Register and prepare for your CA Inter exam
- Clear both groups of CA Intermediate exam
- Complete the ICITSS orientation course
- Register and begin your 2-year practical training
Is the Direct Entry Route Right for You?
Bypassing the Foundation level means that you save anywhere from six months to a year, which means that you can finish the entire CA course in four and half years instead of the usual five years time.
A student wishing to study at his own pace, will need to make use of either online or offline study materials, be it at his convenience. For instance, Study By Tech (established by the eminent Professor CA Parag Gupta) offers online coaching specifically designed for Direct Entry students.
At the end of the day, if you want to put your full effort into studying, the direct entry option is ideal.
