It is Very Bizarre — An American President with his own Media outlet called Pravda !

The Soviet Newspaper Pravda — ‘Truth’

Correctly if I am wrong but has any previous American President had his own media outlet like the 47th President of the United States has his Truth Social platform.

What really intrigues me is … translated into Russian what the 47th President has called Truth Social becomes ‘Правда Социальная’ which literally means Pravada Socialism …

Wait a minute wasn’t Pravada the name of the Soviet era news outlet and newspaper that was the sole source of official Soviet Propaganda, and which still exists today outlining the official Russian news from President Vlad Putin … the Czar of the Kremlin?

I am surprised the FCC in the United States has not taken note of this and perhaps inquired as to why this is being done by the 47th President of the United States. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is mandated to be an independent US government agency that regulates interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite, and cable.

Should it not be the policy of the United States that a sitting President not be allowed to wear two hats the way the 47th President of the United States is wearing them today?

I know that this wearing of two hats would not be allowed in democratic nations like the UK, France or Japan or Canada.

Perhaps this is also why no previous President has deemed to try to do an end run around the Journalists in the United States. You note the strained relationship between organizations like the Associated Press and the 47th POTUS.

As an outsider looking into the United States I see a clear and present danger to democracy in America due to ‘Правда Социальная’… not the least of which this arrangement is the butt of jokes on the streets of Moscow.

This is also the kind of intrigue that gets written into dime store spy novels and B-rated Hollywood spy movies.

The wartime British Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Winston Churchill famously used the phrase “truth is so precious that it should always be attended by a bodyguard of lies” … suggests that sometimes, a controlled degree of falsehood can protect the truth and achieve strategic objectives.

Well hell … if I truthfully understand what Churchill is saying … now I am twice as concerned!

It is not hard for Americans to notice, in so many recent pronouncements regarding the Ukraine-Russia conflict, how often the fellow in Washington echoes the fellow in Moscow …
