Co-founding a regenerative info tech enterprise

I’m a co-founder of a ***regenerative info tech enterprise*** that doesn’t yet exist.

To co-found a regenerative tech enterprise, I want and need a co-founder who — in the words of BigData engineer Ratnesh Srivastava — is experienced in “the design, delivery, and operation of large-scale data platforms.”

To solve the climate crisis — and all of the other ecological crises — as a whole, the regenerative info tech enterprise amasses:

• performance data, incurred cost data, and species-per-area data for every category of things-we-extract options (for things like forests, fresh water, wildlife, soils and minerals) for meeting human physical needs, and
• performance data, incurred cost data and incurred pollution data for every category of things-we-use options (for things like energy, water, materials & chemicals, food & fiber and manufactures & structures) for meeting human physical needs, …

… and processes that data through a “regenerative information algorithm” …

… for supplying people everywhere with simple “regenerative information services” in the form of:

• accurate evaluations, comparisons & measurements
• of the performance benefits, cost savings benefits and biosphere-healing benefits
• of things-we-extract options (like rewilding) and things-we-use options (like solar water heaters) for meeting human physical needs …

Breaking into new groups of people

To solve the planet’s ecological crises as a whole, the co-founder being attracted is going to have to hear about, learn of, or find out about the *adventure* of building a regenerative info tech enterprise.

To attract the co-founder, I’m going to have to break into new groups of people through whom the co-founder learns of the adventure I am offering.

In the words of author David T. Fagan:

When it comes to business, you need to travel and even sometimes move to break into new groups and be seen for the success you really have become.

You need to get outside of your incestuous local groups. You need to travel to new areas as the expert being brought in and you need to be introduced as the best of your successes.

Through The Regenerative Transition, I am in the process of attracting people who are excited by the adventure of solving the ecological crises as a whole, and willing to introduce me as the best of my successes.

Building a regenerative info tech enterprise in public

A few weeks ago, I decided to shift The Regenerative Transition from problem-solving the ecological crises, to a chronicle of my co-founder’s journey building a regenerative info tech enterprise.

I’m thinking of this as “building a regenerative info tech enterprise in public.”

I borrowed the concept of “building it in public” from the team at Climate Drift who offer an accelerator program for building climate tech solutions “in public.” I encourage you to check it out.
