Hello QD Pies!

It's been a minute! I know my last post was a year ago! Oh my goodness! I do apologize for not returning to this platform to share my fantabulous life! LOL! So much has happened, and I'm taking the time now to get you all up to speed! I moved back to NYC in October 2025! It's been about six months since I returned, and so much has happened that I never thought would happen to me! I will go into more detail about that on another date. But for now, I say my life is NEVER boring! LOL!

I'm still going along nicely with my Curriculum and Teaching studies at National University, Sanford College of Education Online! I just completed my 10th course with a 3.97 GPA! Ayyeee! I have been named a 2026 NU Brand Ambassador and am loving all things National University! As you can see in my profile picture, I have my pen and NU Journal in hand. I have been doing a lot of reading and writing both professionally and personally. I want to write my memoir one day! I already have a title: "The Evolution of a Diva!" Is that not the coolest title EVER?! LOL!

I am still volunteering with the Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit based in Atlantic City, New Jersey, with a mission to preserve Black music culture one record at a time! I am the Vice President, Chief Curriculum Officer, 2026 RBPSOC Global Ambassador, and Artist-in-Residence. For the last six years, I have spearheaded efforts to establish African American music studies in colleges and universities and, most recently, in K-12 curricula. We have had the pleasure of previously adding Grammy Award nominee Leela James as our 1st RBPSOC Ambassador and have received numerous endorsements and support from New Jersey politicians, including U.S. Senator Corey Booker, a huge supporter of music and the arts in schools. We also started getting curriculum nationwide using video and discussion guides with a certificate of completion for added razzle dazzle during the 100 Years of Black History Month in America (1926–2026) at public schools in Atlantic City and Plesantville, New Jersey and Jazz Appreciation Month at schools for the Blind and Visually Impaired, spotlighting Blind and Visually Impaired musicians such as Art Tatum, Marcus Roberts, Diane Schuur, and Matthew Whitaker. Whew!

I've been busy to say the least, and this was all in 2026! LOL! Oh, and I was just recently invited to be in the Marquis Who's Who in America 2026 online registry! Pretty cool, huh?

That's not all! I released an R&B single, "Kisses in the Dark," in March 2026! It was a song I wrote back in 1998 for Toni Braxton's 'Libra' album, but I was unable to reach her team. 28 years later, I decided to release it and target 18–35-year-olds, who are the 'ghosting' generation. It's amazing how this song is more relevant now than ever. It is on all digital music outlets! Please take a moment to listen and let me know your thoughts! Add it to your playlist and ask your local radio station to add it to their rotation!
