Changing the world one art piece at a time: ArtoDAO

Art to us is more than just something to admire and to view — it’s meant to be a point of connection, bridging people across barriers of language and culture. For centuries, art has been a concept beyond most people, seen as “elite” and “better than”. But we recognise the value in art, and its potential to change lives. Thus, we formed our mission — to democratise access to art and make ownership of art more accessible than ever before.

ArtoDAO is tokenising art to better the world by making it more accessible than ever before.

Our work

Primarily, ArtoDAO commissions and purchases artwork as authorised by the DAO, releasing the art as fractional NFTs to members of the DAO. We work with local artists to commission artworks people love in a variety of styles ranging from impressionism to pop art and more abstract art. After the art is delivered, we store the art in our warehouses, then tokenise the art by releasing NFTs of the art, offering them first to DAO members and then to the open market. Each release is limited with only a small set number of pieces.

In other situations, we might purchase already painted artwork — for this, we scour the market for undervalued or underappreciated art across the globe, choosing only the best deals and most incredible pieces to present to our DAO for approval — once approved, we then return to the process above, storing and releasing the Art pieces.

ARTO token, and what lies ahead

ARTO token is the native token of ArtoDAO, and is used to vote on proposals in our DAO. Over the next couple months, we’re working on a number of initiatives to truly level ArtoDAO up, but here’s a sneak peak! Remember, we’re only getting started, and far, far more lies ahead.
