Greetings All!

Let’s talk about Venus!

Currently, Venus alongside Mercury is in retrograde, which is the illusionary appearance of moving backwards. (*Nothing stops in outer space and starts to move backwards, it is from the perspective of making these observations from Earth, which is also moving.) These retrograde times allow for us to go back and re-choose a different path, with greater clarity. Although this influence can bring slow down or stop to our Venus endeavors, this actually allows more time for greater reflection and recognition.

Venus represents Love, Art, Beauty, Harmony, Peace, Music, Dance, Rhythm, Colors, Compassion, Relationship, Camaraderie, Friendship and Joy, among other things like these. During Venus influenced times, we all get to find more things that harmonize with our soul. What once made us happy, may no longer any more. Or, we find new things that we had not realized until the moment that we would enjoy. Retrograde gives us a chance to bring back old memories to reacquaint ourselves with joys from the past, whether it be from yesterday, 30 years ago or anything in between or farther. What joys are you recalling in your own life? This is a clue to the subject matter that this cycle is teaching you about.

The current Venus retrograde cycle is 1Mar25–13Apr25, on the Pisces/Aries cusp crossing from the end of the old to the beginning of the new then back and forth again. This brings some serious time shifts, going way back and projecting way forward with Art, Music or Love goals from the past into the future.

The last Venus retrograde cycle was 23July23–4Sept23, in the sign of LEO (“The Performer!”). The world lost Amazing Music Artists Sinead O’Connor and Jimmy Buffet during that time.

The next Venus retrograde cycle (beyond the current one) is towards the end of next year 3oct26–14Nov26 crossing between the signs of Libra/Scorpio, indicating the Arts (Venus is the ruler of Libra!) and absolute Transition/Control to Empowerment.

With any Retrograde, one has to consider the approaching and departing shadow periods as well. The approaching is when the planet crosses into the area that it will retrograde back to and the departing is when the planet climbs back again to where it had been at the start of the cycle.

Currently as follows:

Pre-Retrograde Shadow: 28Jan — 1Mar

Retrograde: 1Mar — 13Apr

Post-Retrograde Shadow: 13Apr — 14 May

Retrograde Effects including a shift in timing, extreme past or future, may occur during any or all of these times.

Look to where these sign cusps are in your own chart for greater clarity.
