DGFT is keeping an eye on all the activities and updates on COVID-19.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on July 20, 2020 has decided to revise the procedure and criteria for submission and approval of applications for export of PPE medical coveralls for COVID-19. The applications for this purpose was invited from the exporters, however, the criteria specified in the trade notice issued on June 29, 2020 vide trade notice no. 17 were not adhered to.

Thus, the department has decided to issue revised guidelines in this trade notice and the exporters are requested to file a fresh application considering the revised guidelines.

• Export of only 50 lakh units of PPE medical coveralls for COVID-19 will be allowed every month.

Exporters may apply through online DGFT portal ECOM and there is no need to send the hard copy through postal.

Every organization which is mapped to procure and use all these medical equipment’s / collaterals must be very very clear and updated on the government’s policy and compliance changes.
