One of these tiktok content creators did a video about Asake’s success with his new single Worship featuring DJ Snake. His grouse was that Asake, despite his shenanigans and “sinful” lifestyle still experiences success serially. His analysis culminates in that Asake’s success must be tied to his generosity and how he gives freely. He juxtaposes with other successful celebrities like wizkid and Davido who are know to do giveaway and other philanthropic activities. In other words, He was saying giving brought about the success despite these aforementioned celebrities “controversial” lifestyle, he particularly had issues with them all having baby mamas.

Now, I don’t agree with the judgemental nature of the analysis, however, there is a salient point — GIVING. During on of my teens class at church, the topic was GIVING. In the study outline, it states:

“Giving is a form of worship to GOD” WOW!! See Proverbs 3:9. That alone says a lot and is very crucial in this discuss. We know GOD loves our worship. It is in the 10 commandments and Jesus also replied the devil during his temptation that We should worship ONLY GOD. Hence, if GIVING is a form of worship, it means GOD will definitely bless us for doing same. See 2 Corinthians 9:6–15.

Taking the conversation forward, GIVING to the needy is also an answered prayer to the needy. After all, GOD will not physically come down and provide for the needy but use the GIVING of generous people to provide for the needy. Hence, when we GIVE TO THE POOR we lend to GOD and GOD will repay. WOW!! Imagine GOD owing me. See Proverbs 19:17

Asake also honoured his mother and father recently, as He purchased expensive luxurious car for each of them and presented same to them separately. Imagine the heartfelt prayer from his parents upon his like. A major hack for success. It is noteworthy to also mention that hardwork is also crucial for success. We see Asake’s work ethnic and how intentional and meticulous he is with the production of his music, and his rigorous music tours worldwide. Finally, Mr. Money (a moniker for Asake) also shows gratitude for those who have helped him especially Olamide, who has been featured in many of his success in collaborations and being appreciative of the impact Badoo (moniker for Olamide).

In summation, we can learn that GIVING is crucial to success. We should be a blessing to others. Our success should not only be for our personal benefit. We should be a LIGHT in this DARK world. Let’s help the needy whenever we can. Even if we don’t get “success” like financial reward, there are other blessings like good health, journey mercies, favour and other things un-quantifiable that we benefit from that money might not be able to buy.
