I Bathed With My Girlfriend. My Dad Called Her A Slut

Hard lessons from a lost love

I didn’t know why I was so stupid to reveal that my ex-girlfriend was less attractive to one of the colleagues in the same retail outlet as her. Someone who seemed friendly and approachable to you didn’t mean he was your real friend. That happened more than 10 years ago.

He told her about it, and our relationship drifted further away. A guy who was a lion took advantage of our situation and attracted her. He was wealthier than I and had a condominium. At that time, I was still a sheep, avoiding conflicts and confrontations. He managed to attract her, and she became his girlfriend.

Before this, my dad had already affected our relationship. He called her a slut, but the problem wasn’t due to her, but me. My girlfriend would cohabit with me from time to time, and we often bathed in the same restroom together after my parents went to sleep.

That particular night at 9.30pm+, Dad was furious to find out that we were bathing together and knocked madly on the door while shouting vulgarities. When we walked out in shock, he called her names. He was a man with a traditional mindset.

Hard lesson 1 learned: Never bathe with your partner while living with your parents. Better to do it when you live alone.

Hard lesson 2 learned: Never talk badly behind someone’s back. Life has its way to make it back to that person.

Many years later, I saw the lion at the Resorts World Sentosa casino. He worked as an ambassador in the membership department. Later, I found out from the retail colleagues that the lion had ditched my ex-girlfriend and went for other, more attractive women.

I was surprised. My ex-girlfriend had become a bad girl after that. She was no longer kind-hearted and naive. Our actions had altered her heart.

I wanted to say, I was sorry, and I hope she will find true love and her heart back again. Thank you for entering my life as an important life lesson.

Thinking about it now, my ex-girlfriend was attractive and had a beautiful smile; my ego had gotten in the way. We often said things we didn’t mean. I was aware of other guys who said they didn’t love their partners, but the moment they lost them, they regretted it badly.

When we couldn’t control our mouths, we destroyed our own good fortune and happiness. If you are about to say something you later regret, slap yourself hard, or pop a lollipop into your mouth.

Fun fact: Gods love sinners, and they chose them to become ambassadors as lightworkers. If they can make them fall into the abyss, they can also make them rise and shine.
