A commission by WEZDARCHID, showcasing the primitive ornithocheiroid Piksi barbarulna and the more derived Pteranodon longiceps. A study shows that toothed ornithocheiroids retained arboreal habits, while derived toothless pteranodontians were terrestrial. This has quite the amount of implications for their ecologies; maybe some classical “piscivorous” pterosaurs were actually aerial hawk like predators, while pteranodontids may not have been able to perch on cliffs as commonly depicted (unless maybe flat cliff tops?)
