This month is focused on life experiences.

This is the seventh in a series where I’m sharing quality written articles with you that I found among terrific writers. I skipped last month because I was busy with other tasks. But I’m back and decided to focus this month on essays that involve life experiences.
Turning a Real-Life Experience into a Choose Your Own Adventure Game
By Lydia Rice
Lydia wrote a fantastic essay where she explains how to use the concept of “Choosing Your Own Adventure” (CYOA) for a storyline that fiction writers can apply to online game development.
I recommend Lydia’s article to anyone interested in developing games based on life’s adventures.
Scientists Are Broadcasting Earth’s Position to Aliens, Ignoring Stephen Hawking’s Warning
By Ridha.M.B
Ridha wrote a well-written essay about the considerations of how life-forms elsewhere in the universe might consider us. Assuming life exists elsewhere, they might not recognize us as anything more than bacteria.
I also had an interesting dialogue with her in the comments of her essay, where she clarified that life-forms might take on a completely different structure that we wouldn’t recognize.
I can also appreciate the problem with communication since that could be totally different too. For example, we use radio waves, but other life-forms might use a technology that wouldn’t function with our laws of physics.
Don’t miss out on her essay. It’s worth reading.
My Dad Got on a Plane to New York at 7am on September 11, 2001
This is the kind of experience we never forget. I used to work across the street from the WTC but left that job long before 9/11. Nevertheless, it had a significant impact on me. I lost several friends that day.
Jessica’s article conveys a very emotional experience.

Investments to Make in Your 20s, 30s to Avoid Regrets in Your 40s, 50s
By Tim Denning
Tim’s article made an impression on me since I am well aware of how much money I would have now if I had done at least one of the things he suggested. I should have left my stock investments alone and let them grow. Anyway, if you’re young, read Tim’s suggestions while you can still take advantage of it.
Draft2Digital: The Perfect Match for Self-Published Authors
By 🔴🟡Nicole Higginbotham-Hogue,
I discovered Draft2Digital (D2D) from reading Nicole’s review. And since then, I have been working on a new book to publish with them. After publishing five paperback books with Lulu and Amazon KDP, I have been disenchanted by the small number of sales. But D2D offers more hope since they partner with many distribution networks and aim to make a profit by helping authors succeed. It’s free to use their platform, and they make money only when we make money.
I look forward to finishing my first book with D2D, and I’ll write a review once that’s off the ground. But, for now, read Nicole’s review.
