Very Old… Technology

When I turned 50 years old, I finally started going online, got a Facebook account, a Twitter account and started a blog.

My online identity at the time was Bleep50. The point was omg, I cannot believe I have been on this planet 50 years and I haven’t accomplished anything.

I posted dozens of articles on the blog, and built an interactive platform with Facebook, joined writer’s groups and amassed over 1000 followers on Twitter

Then I got sick. Sick with a capital S. I didn’t make it back online for a dozen years.

Me: All of us went quiet.

Also Me: She put away all her reading and writing.

It’s only been a couple of years since I was able to lift my head up again, and get back into life and the land of the living.

This year I “resurrected” my old blog. I stripped out all the old blog posts and started a new project around “Sharing My Work”.

There are a few articles posted, not as many as I would have liked, but I was busy experimenting with Medium, and enjoying it very much!

Now, that my previous WIP has been put on hold, I need to pivot on my blog, change the banner photo, post some new pieces.

The technology is old. I didn’t update anything when I brought the blog back to life.

I guess now is the time. I have an ancient “theme” that is difficult to make changes in, and even my two computer programmers don’t want to work with it anymore!

I will back up the pieces I currently have on the blog, make the changes, cross my fingers to the technology gods…oh I wonder if there is a god of technology? 🤔
