Camp Digital

Last Thursday — I had a super day at Gov Camp run by Nexer. A brilliant and inspiring day, a big thank you to all the organisers and the funders and partners. A few of the key people that I remember really hit a note with me.

Rachel Coldicutt who kicked things off for us re-inspiring us with some much needed hope and solidarity, Dan Barrett from Citizens Advice Hearing how they also use digital their digital journey in using AI. Then Laura Yarrow shared with us how As the Head of Design at GDS she shared with us how they have been Nurturing a playful, creative, culture is the right way within GDS team itself. I also loved Tessa Quinns talk too about how they responded to the Ukraine War in Scotland and the countries response to refugees.

What can we do together that we can’t do apart?

Rachel Coldicutt kicked things off for us, and she was a woman who was bloody brilliant — what an inspiring and necessary voice she is about how we must bring more hope and solidarity into all our lives.

Instead we must be thinking more about how we do these differently with hope and solidarity, we need to come together and we need to build or own picture about a future of hope, and not dread.”

I really came away inspired by Laura Yarrow s As the Head of Design at GDS she shared with us how they have been Nurturing a playful, creative, culture is the right way to be building resilient teams and ideas within GDS team itself.

We need to be designing for all and not just one or a segment of people. all about how they use Radical Play there, and their ongoing challenges as an organisation, which must be met by being brave and also pushing the boundaries.

One of my favourite quotes: ‘The organisations that will navigate the future successfully, aren’t the ones that follow all the riles. They are the ones who with the most playful, creative people.’
