Aren’t You Over Having Kids?

To my daughters, I love you.

I mean, not Really!😁 We love them.

I think the new generation just doesn’t understand all that we do for them and what it takes.

Parenting isn’t just raising kids. It’s trying to give them things we didn’t have. It’s trying not to repeat things we lived through. It’s trying to break generational curses they may never even realize existed.

Sometimes they only see rules. Sometimes they think we worry too much. Sometimes they think we’re TOO hard on them.

So they don’t always see the late nights, the silent sacrifices, the constant wondering if we’re doing enough or doing it right.

You know, but we love them ANYWAYS.

I think maybe one day they’ll appreciate it. Like in the Hallmark movies when they come up and say “ YOU KNOW MOM, YOU WERE RIGHT.”

And it won’t be because we need a win, it’ll be because they finally UNDERSTAND.
