Central Limit Theorem and life

I stumbled upon something interesting.

fly the thing away

fly the thing away

The choices you make, the habits you stack, the books you read, the people you befriend, and whatnot. It all may seem random, like how could these things affect the life of an individual? But all these random variables of life make up the predictable outcomes you get.

Try to understand it with an example; you start your day,you go to your college, and boom, there is an awkward moment you encounter there. Then you come back home, and you forget the assignment is due at 3:00 p.m., but the time passes anyway, and you get a zero in that assignment. Then someone send you a box of chocolates, and then you eat them and sleep. In the morning, you get a big pimple, and it hurts.

Quite unfortunate, but tell me one thing: what does all of this mean? Are you unsuccessful, or are you a failure? You might feel like one at the moment, but in reality, you are not. This is only a human thing. And this was just one day, not your whole life.

Definition

The Central Limit Theorem (CLT) says that when you take many random samples from a population, the average of those sample means will get closer to the population mean as the sample size grows.

Relation between these two

Now try to read the definition above. It talks about random samples, not a single thing, but rather a sample. And it states that the mean will become equal to the population mean. Something that is the average of it all. Your life is not defined by one talk, one run, one bad day, or one day off. Rather, it is the average of the things you do most of the time. You just need to keep doing something until its average reaches normality. It is the whole idea.

Elaboration

Think of it this way, you do not want to post , you do not want to go for that run, you do not want to write , but you do it all anyway. Not perfect, but done. Later, when you will get the chance to look at your life, you will see how this line made sense:

“The average of averages is average.”

I am not asking you to be perfect or to do it daily. But be a person who does it mostly. Like when you average the stuff, it should give you a good ratio. That’s it.

This idea of writing is taken as inspiration from medwithphoebe (insta).
