Observation of the day- Do better!

Observation of the day- It’s been a year since my friend Rodrigo went Safely Home. He was a force. Not in the usual sense. He wasn’t aggressive, or driven with obsession, or had that killer instinct. He was a force of kindness.

There was no one who met him that didn’t fall in love with him. He was the kindest individual with a huge heart. He consistently looked to help the underdog and would always make you think of the other person’s perspective when you had an issue. He was always trying to make things right, including himself. He was constantly striving to learn new things and challenged others to do the same. A friend and I were just sharing recently that when he sent us a podcast or a book (he’d simply order the book and send it to your house), you felt you needed to engage and take notes knowing he was going to ask you about it.

This week in Orlando, people are fighting the decision to paint over the rainbow crosswalk in honor of the lives lost at the Pulse nightclub. His heart would be hurting over this here on earth as I’m sure it is in heaven.

It only made me think of him with love and with pride that I was lucky enough to hold a place in his heart. I will always try and do better because of him. You should all be so lucky to have that barometer of love to strive to live up to.

I beg everyone- make the calls, make the plans, make the difference and make the memories. Life is good
