Take examlple of players like Sachin Tendulkar one of the best batter the world has ever seen. What made him so amazing well of course itwould be the effort he has put in but there are some small details people sideline.He was not just hardworking he smart. Most players do not try to read the ball through the hand of the baller which is very important for reaching the level of excellence people dream about. In an interview while talking about Muralitharan , Sachin mentioned that he used to read his balls through Murali’s hands

He explained that:

• If Murali’s thumb was on top of the ball, it indicated a doosra.
• If the thumb was below the ball, it was the normal off-spinner.

So if it makes facing a bowler like Murali easy than imagine how easy it would be facing other bowlers.

Sachin also scored runs very easily , because he knew that it takes time to get in the flow.

One classic example is Sachin Tendulkar’s 98 against Pakistan in the 2003 World Cup. He started super cautiously, barely scoring in the first few overs, but then he exploded later on, smashing boundaries and eventually falling just short of a hundred. It’s a perfect example of a slow start that built up into a massive innings.
