I Paid $70 To Feel Like Garbage

The worst part is that I knew better.

I ate out at a restaurant last night. Bar food. Today, I’m singing the barfood blues.

It’s not the type of place I would frequent alone, lot’s of young men saddled up to the bar, watching Michigan football on the big screen.

Menu choices: pizza burgers, but no vegetarian sandwiches, but no vegetarian salads, but I wanted more than iceberg

I went with fish tacos, thinking it might be okay.

Okay, it was not.

What arrived was more like a deep fried fish burrito. Side of salsa, side of sour cream, side of fries.

Taste = not bad. Not good either. Better than expected.

My companions ordered pizza. We had fun, enjoyed each other’s company.

I picked up the bill. It was five minutes into my drive home, when I realized, I spent $70 bucks, to feel like complete garbage.

Sick all night, and into the morning.

Bar food. This is why I usually say no.
